The Esquimalt Lagoon and Royal Roads waterfront give parts of Colwood real coastal exposure, which means salt and moisture on windows are a factor for many homes in the area. The tree coverage is also heavier than in Langford, so pollen and debris accumulate on glass throughout the year.
